Acornonaut in ChatGPT and Claude

Make flashcards from a YouTube video, get quizzed on the cards that are due and check your progress without leaving the chat.

What you can do

  • Paste a YouTube link and say “make flashcards from this video”. Cards are ready a minute or two later.
  • Say “quiz me on my due cards” for a spaced-repetition session: answer, reveal, then rate each card Again, Hard, Good or Easy.
  • Search, edit and organise your cards and playlists, and see your study stats.
  • Export a deck to Anki, CSV, JSON or Markdown.

Everything stays in your Acornonaut account, so the web app, ChatGPT and Claude all show the same cards and the same review schedule.

Claude

Acornonaut is on its way into Claude’s directory. Until then, add it as a custom connector:

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Enter https://mcp.acornonaut.app/mcp and select Add.
  3. Sign in with your Acornonaut account and allow access.

ChatGPT

Acornonaut is in review for ChatGPT’s app directory. If you can use developer mode, you can connect it today:

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Select Create, enter https://mcp.acornonaut.app/mcp with OAuth authentication, and create the connector.
  3. Sign in with your Acornonaut account and allow access.

Other AI assistants

Any app that supports remote MCP servers can connect to https://mcp.acornonaut.app/mcp. The MCP documentation lists every tool and the setup for other clients.

Your data and disconnecting

The assistant only sees what you ask it to fetch from Acornonaut, and Acornonaut never sees your conversations. See the privacy policy for details. You can disconnect an assistant at any time under Settings → Connected apps.

You need an Acornonaut account to connect, and the free plan works. Create one if you don’t have one yet.
