How it works
- Add a playlist. Paste any YouTube playlist URL. Acornonaut extracts the transcript of each video and prepares it for processing.
- Generate cards. The video content is analysed and turned into targeted flashcards that focus on the most important concepts.
- Review. Study with spaced repetition. Cards adapt to your pace and surface what you need to review most.
Frequently asked questions
What types of YouTube content work best?
Educational content with clear audio that covers factual information: lectures, tutorials, documentaries and course material. Videos with good closed captions or clear speech produce the best flashcards.
How many flashcards are generated per playlist?
It depends on the length and density of the content. Expect roughly 10–30 flashcards per hour of video. Cards are kept non-redundant and focused on the key concepts.
How does spaced repetition work?
Reviews are scheduled at increasing intervals. Cards you find difficult come back more often; cards you know well come back less often. That keeps study time short and improves long-term retention.
Can I edit or customize the generated flashcards?
Yes. You can edit both questions and answers, archive cards you don't need, and add your own cards alongside the generated ones.
What languages are supported?
Acornonaut currently works best with English content. We're working on support for Spanish, French, German and other major languages.
Is my data secure and private?
Your playlists and flashcards are private to your account. We only process YouTube transcripts to generate your flashcards, and we don't store or share your personal learning data with third parties.
