Cookie Policy
Last updated 2026-08-04
This Cookie Policy explains how Acornonaut uses cookies and similar storage technologies when you visit or use our service.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a web server. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB. We refer to all of these collectively as “cookies” in this policy.
2. Cookies we use
- Authentication (strictly necessary). Clerk sets session cookies required to keep you signed in. Without these the service cannot function. These cannot be opted out of.
- Theme preference. A single localStorage key stores your light/dark mode preference. No personal data is transmitted.
- Performance monitoring. Web Vitals metrics (LCP, INP, CLS, TTFB, FCP) are collected via Beacon API to improve service performance. No personally identifiable information is included in these payloads.
- Error tracking. Sentry may set a session identifier to correlate error reports for debugging. Refer to Sentry's privacy policy for details.
3. Third-party cookies
We do not use advertising, analytics tracking (e.g. Google Analytics), or social media cookies. Third-party services we use (Clerk for auth, Polar for billing) may set their own cookies governed by their respective privacy policies. The app creator does not control these third-party cookies and is not responsible for those providers' practices — please review their policies for details.
4. Your choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking authentication cookies will prevent you from signing in. You can clear localStorage at any time from your browser's developer tools without affecting your account.
5. Changes
We may update this policy as our technology or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the latest revision.
